Kapil Saxena, Director of Software Engineering, brings over 15 years of experience in Software Architecture, Design, Development and Management, as well as extensive customer interaction. Prior to this role, Kapil led Dilithium’s DTG engineering group which includes Call Agent, Platform, and SMM teams. Under his leadership, the DTG team delivered successfully to key customers including China Mobile, China Unicom, BSNL, Vodafone, Etisalat, and others.
Prior to joining Dilithium, Mr. Saxena spent seven years at Sonus Networks (Freehold, New Jersey) developing software for Class 5 Access Exchange Server (ASX) Soft Switch and the GSX9000 VoIP Network Border Switch (NBS). The GSX 9000 is a carrier-class Open Services Voice over IP Class 4 Switch, to enable converged PSTN-IP and IP-IP IMS based infrastructure.
Prior to Sonus, Mr. Saxena spent four years at Lucent Technologies (Holmdel, New Jersey). At Lucent, Mr. Saxena developed call control processing software for the Packet Star Voice Gateway, a real time switch for carrying voice traffic from STM to STM or ATM over AAL1 and AAL 5.
Prior to this role, Mr. Saxena worked at River Run Software Group and Future Software on a range of telecommunication software programs. Mr. Saxena began his career at ITI Limited (Bangalore) as a software engineer.
Mr. Saxena earned a Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from National Institute of Technology (formerly REC), Surat, India. He also holds a Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers State University, New Jersey.
