Ron Longo brings 20 years of sales, marketing, and management expertise from the telecommunications, SaaS, and Internet market segments.
Prior to joining Dilithium, Mr. Longo was recruited by email security company Red Condor to become Chief Executive Officer. In 24 months, he launched its product on a national scale, raised $14m in venture funding, built a national distribution channel, grew sales 10 times over the 2005 results, and positioned the company for future expansion.
Prior to Red Condor, Mr. Longo was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mahi Networks, where he positioned the company’s next generation optical products into the worldwide carrier market. Mahi was acquired by Meriton/Xtera in 2005.
Prior to Mahi Networks, Mr. Longo was Vice President of worldwide marketing at Advanced Fibre Communications, where he aggressively launched the company’s OmniMAX product into the carrier markets. Mr. Longo focused new business initiatives in four countries, and within 12 months, the international division of AFC generated over $70m in revenues. The company was acquired by Tellabs for nearly $2 billion USD.
Prior to AFC, Mr. Longo was the Director of technical support and product qualification at Adtran. He began his career at BellSouth Communications as an engineer and staff manager
Mr. Longo holds a BSEE from the University of Alabama.
