Samsung Licenses Dilithium AnswerFast^TM Plus Technology

Petaluma, CA. – November 2, 2005 – Dilithium, the leading supplier of 3G multimedia solutions, announced today that it’s AnswerFast Plus™ technology has been licensed by Samsung Electronics for its next generation Smartphone handsets, further consolidating their leadership in the 3G phone market. Following this agreement with Samsung, Dilithium is now supplying its 3G-324M/H.324M Stack to more than 50% of global handset manufacturers supporting commercial 3G service rollouts. 

AnswerFast Plus technology reduces the call session set-up time to less than one second, which is comparable to voice calls.  Present 3G video telephony handsets on the market today typically take 5-8 seconds for the voice and video channels to be established. The agreement also includes licensing of Dilithium’ 3G-324M Multimedia Protocol Stack, the popular choice for the deployment of real-time multimedia communication handset solutions for 3G video services.
