Dilithium Content Adapter Named Finalist for Prestigious InfoVision Award
Petaluma, CA. – June 10, 2009 – Dilithium, the global leader in high-quality multimedia delivery over mobile and broadband networks, today announced that its Dilithium Content Adapter (DCA) is a finalist for a 2009 InfoVision Award in the category of “Wireless Broadband.” The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) announced the finalists of its InfoVision Awards program naming the technologies, applications, products, advances and services judged as the most unique and beneficial to the information and communications technologies (ICT) industry.
The DCA solution enables service providers to extend the reach of video value-added content beyond their initial boundaries, and is the only product on the market that supports 2.5G and 3G smartphones for both on-demand and live content delivery, including iPhone, Blackberry and Android devices. DCA supports the most live and pre-recorded video formats and performs on-the-fly and on-demand transport, media formatting, and codec and bitrate adaptation. Customers do not need to install a special application on their handset, and can access the video services via EDGE, WiFi or 3G networks, depending on the Blackberry model.

Finalists for this award were selected by a panel of judges chosen from the Broadband World Forum Europe 2009 program committee, consisting of industry experts from vendor companies, service providers and industry associations. The IEC will announce winners on Monday, 7 September at 14:00 at the World Forum.
