Dilithium Honored as 2009 International Business Awards Finalist

Dilithium Content Adapter recognized as a finalist for Best New Product in the Telecommunications industry

Petaluma, CA. – July 13, 2009Dilithium, the global leader in high-quality multimedia delivery over mobile and broadband networks, today announced it was named a finalist in the Best New Product or Service – Telecommunications category for The 2009 International Business Awards.  Dilithium earned finalist honors for its Dilithium Content Adapter (DCA), which can bring video to any 2.5G/3G mobile phone, including iPhone, iPhone 3.0, Blackberry and Android devices, PCs and set top boxes.

“We are honored to be selected as a finalist in this year’s International Business Awards,” said Paul Zuber, president and CEO of Dilithium. “Our DCA is the only solution on the market that supports such a wide range of mobile devices for both on-demand and live video content. This recognition further supports our growing leadership position in the mobile video market.”

Dilithium’s DCA enables service providers and content owners to adapt video content on-the-fly for live video and perform Video on Demand (VoD) streaming. Patented real-time transcoding and transrating abilities enable the video content to be delivered without the need to install a streaming client on handsets. As a software solution, providers can easily deploy and scale the DCA at any location, anytime without making major capital expenditures.

The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business award program. Honorees were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 30 countries.

“Despite the harsh economic climate, entries to the IBAs actually grew a bit this year, and that illustrates the increasing importance of The International Business Awards worldwide,” said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie Awards, presenters of the IBAs.  “We congratulate all of the honorees, and we look forward to recognizing them for their achievements at our gala awards dinner in New York on September 14.”
