Multimedia Protocol Stacks

Dilithium is the market leader in 3G-324M/H.324M protocol stacks. The Dilithium 3G-324M/H.324M stack has been available since 1999 and is the most mature and interoperable products in the market.  There are large number of handsets and chipsets in the market featuring the Dilithium 3G-324M stack, including handsets powered by the Qualcomm, Spreadtrum and Datang. Handsets using the Dilithium 3G-324M video stack include: BenQ, Inventec, HTC, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, NEC, Samsung, Sanyo, Toshiba, UT Starcom, Yulong, and ZTE.

The Dilithium 3G.324M/H.324M protocol stack has been designed to safeguard service-level quality in low bit rate/low bandwidth networks such as error-prone mobile networks. It is fully compatible with 3G specifications, making it a popular choice for deployment as a real-time multimedia communication and streaming handset solution for 3G services.

The Dilithium 3G-324M stacks has many features that reduce time-to-market, as well as support a variety of development environments with and without 3G networks.

Dilithium also holds significant intellectual property rights in various aspects of H.324/3G-324M in the forms of international patents.

Reduces 3G videotelephony call session time to under 4 sec (WNSRP) and to around 1 second (MONA) which is comparable to voice calls
Highly Interoperable Dilithium engineers were part of the original H.324 team that developed the standard in the early 1990s. Dilithium plays a leading role in the evolution of the H.324 and 3G-324M in the ITU-T, 3GPP and the IMTC. Dilithium staff is presently editor of the ITU-T H.324 standard and co-chair of the IMTC 3H-324M Activity group.
Modular Architecture

Minimizes program and run-time memory footprints
Reduces platform dependency

* Dilithium played a key and leading role in the definition and the standardization of ultra fast session setup acceleration techniques for 3G videotelephony (3G-324M). Dilithium's AnswerFast® technology suite forms the basis of the ITU-T H.324 Annex K, also known as MONA (Media Oriented Negotiation Acceleration). MONA consists of an algorithm that allows 3G terminals to exchange their preferences early and to start media exchange within 1/2 round trip. This standard significantly improves the videotelepehony customer experience by reducing the session setup time to around 1 second, comparable to voice calls. Dilithium and PacketVideo are the co-editors of this standard.

Dilithium stack has a modular architecture with a unique API allowing fast retarget to new platforms. It is currently available on a wide range of platforms and operating systems. If time to market is critical, customers can take advantage of the Dilithium Professional Services who provide rapid targeting and optimization services. Our team has experience with many processors, operating systems and platforms.
